◘ Who
Akirayun.com is the official website of contemporary artist Akira Yun. Born in China, studies in Britain, now living and working in Japan. Started at early 2008 where I began to explore different media & materials for a print series that knocked the door open to DFA (aka. Digital Fine Art). From then on gradually developed my skills as an artist who is willing to break the boundaries between the traditional andthe new at today’s art scene and cast impact at a social scale from awider perspective. Though studied fashion back at Middlesex University in London (quit after year 1) I’ve always had a huge passion on Art. After years of experiments I finally decided to put my main focus on Fine Art, combining experiences in fields like illustration and designs, I walk on my way.
◘ What
I provide commercial fine art,commission art, licensed products, art direction, illustration and all other collaborations / projects in creative industries.Focusing mainly on art doesn’t necessarily mean “spreading oil paints all over my apron & sitting 2 months for a complete dry through”, that is stereotype. I can just get the data -whatever styles customers required with my twist- done in a morning and send them off next day to be printed or proofed for further production. Looking forward to hearing from you if particular project requested in any field or discipline. As a contemporary artist my approaches are various. Materials range from traditional oil/ acrylic/ ink/ pencils to computer graphic tools like Painter. Currently I am working on series both methods required,the combination of mix media makes my works vivid in details and long lasting, even ever lasting -considering the reproduction ability DFA offers. Sales of archival prints and original inkjet roll medias are underway in ‘Store’ as well as my share of user experiences related to color management in new ‘Archive’ section. ◘ Where
My studio is located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Studio visit is prior open to galleries, curators, collectors, buyers, art enthusiasts, business partners and press. Visits are by appointment ONLY. I will wait at meeting point, for most case the nearest JR (JapanRailways) station, and drive you through (may bring 1 company together, 2 persons maximum) . For those who can not come to Japan I can send portfolios /slides by email and communicate via internet. To arrange a visit simply feel free to send me a mail.
◘ Why
When I draw and paint this is a question constantly goes around my mind: Why draw? Why paint? I guess it has to go back to childhood when everything started: loved to draw shapes, animals, city,people, vehicles,robots etc since the days I knew how to get a grip of chalks and pencils. Born-talent? Well maybe. But when it comes to reality formaking a living as a pro, being diligent and prolific is the KEY. With the daily revolving printing technology I am certain that DFA will play a much more significant role in today’s contemporary art market dueto its superb print quality, ever improving longevity, fast process speed and last but not least reproduction ability. I hope my works will touch the audiences in the hearts like no one else could do, I strive to have a good relationship with professionals and talented to extend the possibility to max and break the boundary tozero, while paying a tribute to those Hall of Fame I aim to surpass theestablished and existed to have this name Akira Yun left in the history of contemporary art.

Akirayun.comはアーティストAkira Yunのオフィシャルウェブサイトです。中国出身イギリスで学び現在日本に活動しております。08年初めよりデジタルファインアート（DFAとも呼びます）を挑戦し、一方伝統的な手法や材料も組み合わせて、各種メディアやマテリアルを模索しながら作品とオリジナルシーリズを創っております。ロンドンのミドルセックス大学でファッションデザインを学び、様々のリサーチやインスピレイーションから影響を受け、ファインアート常に情熱がありました。試行錯誤でいろんなことを体験（経験）後、イラスト／デザインなどの経験をアートと結びつけた自分なりの道を歩ことになりました。今のところはアートに中心をおきますけれど、積極的に他のフィールドともコラボしたり世界レベルの舞台で現代アートを盛りあけたりしたいと思います。

私はファインーアートを中心に様々な活動を展開したいです。自分の力を生かしてさまざまな分野で使えるんだとおもいます。例えば出版社の要求を応じてイラストを描くこと、レコード会社の依頼でCDジャケットをデザインすること、ゲイーム会社にコンセプトアートを描くこと、レストランや百貨店にディスプレーを創ること、大切な人に等身大肖像画を造ること、ホテルからの依託アートなど、お客さんの既望を応じてより印象的／創造的なアイデアを作り上げたいと思います。ファインアートを中心に他の分野で新だな可能を探したいと思います。プロとしていろんなアープローチがあるの中で、伝統的なオイル、アクリル、インク、鉛筆からデジタルまで幅ひろく実験しています。いまのどころ制作してるシーリズは両方（伝統とデジタル）を使ってます。伝統の精細とデジタルのフレキシビリティーを合わせて、アートのジャンルを超える幅広く伸びられると思います。ジクレ版画とプロ用オリジナルロール紙はもう販売予定中になりますので、同時にもサイトで公開するのは自分がユーザーとしての製品レービューとカラーマネジメントの経験を含め新しい‘Archive’セクションとして、是非サイトでチェックしてください。よくある質問を下記のQ&Aセクションに、作品の値段／サイズ／エディションそして他の商品について‘Store’で確認してください。

◘ なぜ
なぜ絵を描くの？これは鉛筆を握ってるとき自分によく聞く質問。分かるのは自分がその才能を持ってるということ、目で観た事頭の中に考えた事想像したこと手で表現したいのは、本能ということかもしれません。小さい頃鉛筆一つで車、動物、人間、宇宙、ロボットを描くのを今でも鮮明に覚えてますが、比べてたら今の方随分生産量低いことも気がつきました。それはなぜ？子供は考えず描くことがてきますが、プロだったらコンセプトや技法やコストのことなどばかり考えて時間が掛かるということだ。大判プリンターを導入してスピードとクオリティーコントロール両方重視してやっていこう！日本の代表的な芸術家千住博が自分の本にこう言いました：質も重要が、量も重要だ。いままで誰も出来たことなく、自分の作品が人々を考えさせ、人々に嫉妬されることはアーティストの自慢だ。本業のアーティストからのばして、様々な分野のプロとコラボして広いネットワークをビルドできれば当代アートのスゲールも拡大するだろう。
